Reconnect at this one-of-a-kind off-grid escape. This thoughtfully converted shipping container is designed for guests who want to slow down, unplug a bit, and spend real time outdoors. Set on 5 acres of Joshua Tree filled desert, it feels remote and quiet while still being just 7 minutes from downtown Joshua Tree. Come solo or with your partner or some friends and settle in for evenings around the fire pit under truly dark night skies. This is a simple stay that leans into the desert experience. The space is an 8' × 30' × 10' shipping container (240 sq ft) converted into an off-grid tiny home. Inside: sofa bed, full kitchen (stove, fridge, sink, coffee maker), bathroom with walk-in shower, separate bedroom with a California king and upper windows for falling asleep under the stars. Outside: large patio with wicker outdoor couch, propane fire pit, picnic-table bench, hammock, and a stock tank for cooling off in the heat. Solar powered. Pet-friendly (one well-behaved dog welcome, $85 pet fee). Self check-in via smart lock — no contact required.

Exactly what we needed — quiet, beautiful, and far enough out to feel remote without being a hassle to reach. The container is small but every inch is thought through. Coffee in the morning with desert views was a highlight.
